Ed Verhoeff (1966) is an example of the new generation guitarists in the Netherlands. He started as a pop and blues player, but during his studies at the conservatories of Utrecht and the Hague, he found his way into jazz.
He leads his own groups, cooperated with bass player Hein van der Geijn and worked with internationals like Rick Margitza, John Abercrombie and Philip Catherine.
Ed produced 5 CD’s under his own name and is to be heard in over 30 other productions.
Ed is a teacher as well.

27-5-2009 Beauforthuis.
The Beauforthuis, a former church close to Zeist, situated in the woods is a venue where Harmen Fraanje (piano) resided during the season 08/09 as guest in residence. He invited Ed Verhoeff, Clemens van der Feen (bass) and Martijn Vink (drums).
