In July/August 2009 I was back in Italy again to attend nice music and enjoy new places.

Every year there is a festival in Riva del Garda and its surrounding villages. Riva del Garda lies on the northern coast of Lake Garda. In the village of Torbole (close to Riva) the main festival is held.

On 30 June 2009 Javier Girotto performed with a local saxophone quartet in the village of Locca in the Val di Ledro.

Rome, Casa del Jazz. A special place. Former villa, almost in the centre of the city, owned by Mafiosi. Confiscated and transformed into a cultural centre.

A nice indoor concert room where rather a lot of live recordings were done the last five years.

In summer the large garden is transformed into an open air venue and performances of Italian musicians but also from abroad are presented.
