Young VIP tour. 12th edition. Every year a tour with young talents is organized along the important venues in Holland. The initiative is from the Union of venues presenting jazz– and improvised music. VIP. The concept is: · Art directors from the venues propose names of young musicians deserving more attention. · A committee (I’m sitting in for 3 years now) decides which one gets the offer to participate in a tour. · In 2009 there was no Dutch Jazz Competition, so the committee selected two interesting musicians

The premiere of the tour was on Saturday 9 January 2010 at the BIMhuis in Amsterdam. I was there and made some video clips.

On 27-2-2010 the tour was continued in Middelharnis and one month later (27-3-2010) the bands were to be found in Leiden (Hothouse). The Young Vip tour will continue and shows will to be seen all over the year 2010. |
