Stevko Busch is a pianist of German origin
Stevko graduated in 1995 at the Conservatory, Department Improvising Musician majoring in piano and composition with Misha Mengelberg.
Busch played since 1996 include in the Contra Band, conducted by Willem van Manen, with "Tetzepi" and "Borderhopping" and a duet with Misha Mengelberg, Paul van Kemenade and Paul Hubweber. With his electronictrio "Box of Toads" he received the Jazz Art Award 2001 (Germany).
Busch played in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and France. He was broadcasted with various ensembles on radio (at the VPRO, EBU,WDR and Deutschland Funk).
Since 2006 he organizes the concert series "Piano lab. Amsterdam" at the Goethe Institute in Amsterdam. In this series of concerts he realizes the line between composed and improvised music. In addition there are concerts with poets under the title word music venue.

Currently he plays with such Eckard Koltermann’s Border hopping Quartet and a sextet, which includes Wolter Wierbos and Paul van Kemenade
With the latter he plays in a duo under the name Duet Busch / van Kemenade, which in addition to arrangements of Russian songs a tribute to the African Soul by Dollar Brand / Abdullah Ibrahim is given.
There is also a duo with the German trombonist Paul Hubweber.
He composed music for contemporary acoustic ensemble, but also for film.
